Finding advanced settings

Both Mix and Transfer pipetting steps have advanced settings. Use the gear across from Aspirate or Dispense headers in order to access these settings.

Order of Operations

At a high level, advanced settings execute in the order they appear in the Protocol Designer. You can hover on each setting to get a description of what each setting does. However, because some advanced settings contain their own aspirates and dispenses, some advanced settings have an effect on other settings.

Example: Transfer Aspirate delay

Let’s take a look at a Transfer’s aspirate delay setting as an example. In the column on the far left is the list view of settings in the Protocol Designer. The middle column shows which settings have their own aspirates and dispenses. The last column shows how these settings aspirates and dispenses inherit advanced settings.
