Set an environment variable within Jupyter. Within Jupyter at the top of the file, before import Opentrons, run (with username being your own username within your computer):

os.environ['APP_DATA_DIR'] = '/Users/username/Library/Application\ Support/OT\ One\ App\ 2/otone_data'
