Overview:
C
alibration serves as a preventive maintenance to improve the reliability and accuracy of your robot and helps prevent positional errors.

Materials Needed:

  • Mounted pipette
  • Tip

Procedure:

  1. Connect to a robot select calibrate

2. Remove all labware and tipracks from the deck

3. Select "Move Pipette to the Front" to initiate the deck calibration - your left pipette will now move to the front and down.

4. The first step once the calibration process has been initiated is to put a tip on the descended pipette

5. Select "Confirm Tip Attached"

6.  The second step of the deck calibration is to move the pipette with tip attached to sit flush on the Z axis using the jog keys

7. Select "Save Calibration and Continue" once successfully flushed

8. For step three of the deck calibration use your jog keys calibrate to the center of an engraved cross in slot 1

9. Once successful select "Save Calibration and Continue"

10. For step four of the deck calibration use your jog keys calibrate to the center of an engraved cross in slot 3

11. 

12. For step five of the deck calibration use your jog keys calibrate to the center of an engraved cross in slot 7

13. Once successful select "Save Calibration and Continue"

14. Remove the tip from the pipette and select "Finish and Restart Robot" to finish the calibration process and have the new settings take effect. It may take several minutes for your robot to restart.
